What About 2012?

Introduction
You’ll notice there’s almost no content on this page.  That’s because the 2012 issue has become so fraught and polarized we can’t make head or tail of the various extremes, many of which are overloaded with unsupported speculation.

Regardless, this is a subject we felt deserved a page due to its potential paradigm-shifting character.  It must mean something. . .hype notwithstanding.  Oddly enough, one of the least strident forecasters is also one of the first observers to notice that 2012 might be a singularity of some kind.  Terence McKenna (a radical psychoactivist; many videos of his on this site) developed an I Ching-based fractal graph he called “Time Wave Zero” (see video below).  His work on this preceded his having any knowledge of the Mayan calendar’s termination on 12/21/2012.  The “up” direction on the six million year-long time line on his graph is toward stability on the planet; the “down” direction is toward novelty.  On 12/21/2012, the line goes below the lowest point it’s touched in the full six million years.

Ultra-novelty.  But he’s careful to acknowledge that novelty could be anything, not necessarily something catastrophic or, alternatively, overwhelmingly positive for our species, the planet, or anything else.

In short, disregard all the hooplah; we just. . .don’t. . .know.  Period.
